CRUX Daily: Abundance in God

Read: 1 Kings 3:16-28

Reflect: Solomon used his wisdom and it brought God glory. How can you use the wisdom that God has given you to honor God?

Request (prayer): Lord, help me to use wisdom to bring You glory

Notice how God opened a door of opportunity, which allowed Solomon to utilize the wisdom God had blessed him with. Notice three very interesting facts:

First God prepared Solomon; (in 1 Kings 3:3 it says that Solomon loved God and walked in the statues of his father David, then in verse 9 he asks God for wisdom).

Second once Solomon is prepared God gives him an opportunity.
Third God blessed Solomon abundantly above all that he asked or thought.

Did you notice the principle at word here? Preparedness meets opportunity, and then great things happen.

It works like this: We should be focused upon growing in our relationship with the Lord prayer, spending time with other true believers, and studying through God’s word. When we do this the God will open up “the doors of opportunity” to share His love through His wisdom. Our responsibility is to walk through those doors.

Our question to ourselves today is twofold:

Has God opened any doors of opportunity for us to share His love and wisdom?
Are we walking through those doors?
