Read: 1 Peter 3:7 & Ephesians 5:25-33

Reflect: An unloving husband is a disgrace and a man who’s prayers are hindered. What are some of the key characteristics of a godly husband?

Prayer: (Guys) Pray that God would prepare you to be a godly and loving husband. (Girls) Pray that God would prepare your future husband to be godly and loving.

Yesterday we looked at praying for them to love Jesus more than any other relationship in this life. When one does that, that will be the only way they can be the best husband or wife. Today we need to look at the guy who lacks this love. It is sad when the husband neglects his wife or turns his attention else where. He truly is not loving his wife like he should. One way you can be prepared now for marriage and for your future spouse is by loving Jesus first and then learning how to love others like Christ did.

Guys this will be reflective in how you are towards your mothers and others. If you are loving to your mothers, that is good because that is a little window into how you will be towards your future wife. Girls, start praying for your future husband to be loving towards his mother and other relationship.
