The God of gods
Read: Isaiah 40:22,28 & Isaiah 55:8
Reflect: God is God and we are not. Do you ever try to be God of your own life? If so, when?
Request (Prayer): Thank God for having ultimate control of all things.
A lot of times when we look at our own life and examine the things we can do, we always think we are invincible. We think that no one can touch us, we think that we can escape death. That seems to be the mindset of a lot of young people nowadays.
The trend among young people too is that they think they are the “God” of their own life. The are the ruler, they determine the fate of their life.
* NEWS FLASH*- You are NOT God!
God is the only one who has ever conquered death, and will always be, the only one to ever be able to conquer death. We are all susceptible to death. There was a news poll done about the statistics of death, the results were found to be that 1 out of every 1 person dies! That is a 100% success rate that everyone on the face of the earth will die. It’s inevitable! We will all face death.
Now, think of who God really is. Compare God to all the other “gods” of the worlds. Isaiah 40:28 really helps give a great picture of how much more awesome and perfect God is than all the other gods. Isaiah says “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.”
Wow! He is everlasting? He is forever!? That alone is something that we need to acknowledge, and when we do, we can then give God all the praise because He is everlasting and because He is bigger than any other God imaginable.
Have you considered the greatness of God? If not, do so now and see how Great and Perfect He is!!
