The Life Aint Easy
1 Thessalonians 1

Today’s scripture starts with a little encouragement from the apostle Paul. He tells the people of Thessalonica that they are thanking God for them, can you imagine having the apostle Paul tell you that he is thanking God for you because of your faithfulness?!?! What an honor! This chapter is essentially Paul encouraging the Thessalonians how he has heard of how strong their faith is and that they are an example to all people. This truly speaks to my heart because this should be something that we seek; to have recognition from the Lord for our faithfulness to Him and nothing else. The section that I want to focus on today is 1 Thessalonians 1:5-7,

Be Thankful for Giving – 2 Corinthians 9
You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints, but it is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. 2 Corinthians 9:11-12.
Chapter nine here is a great reference passage to learn all about giving in the church financially. It also shows us a great way to worship God when we give with a good heart. In verses 1-5, Paul explains that he had such confidence in the Corinthian church that he said they would indeed give money.
